DGL provided design and construction phase services for this ODOT/FHWA funded LPA project. The work includes new or modified traffic signal installations at seven intersections in the City of Tiffin along SR 18 (West Market Street) and SR 53 (Sandusky Street). DGL collaborated with traffic signal vendors to provide the latest technology for spread spectrum radio interconnect for eight signals in the City of Tiffin. DGL also utilized Synchro to determine timing and phasing under four separate plans for the City of Tiffin. In addition to the traffic signal work, the project included new curbs, sidewalks with handicap ramps, signage and pavement marking. Construction plans were prepared by others with technical assistance by DGL under subconsultant contract. DGL services included general inspection requirements, a review of design parameters, coordination with the contractor for the adjustment of signal pole foundation locations due to utility conflicts, preparation of permission to proceed forms for unbid extra items, reconciliation of as-built quantities with the contractor, and coordination of subconsultant testing services. In-house contract administration services included arranging for and preparing minutes from project construction meetings, review of shop drawings and plan revisions, and processing change orders and pay requests.
