DGL was contracted by the City of Findlay to conduct their City-Wide Signal Evaluation. The project entailed a systematic review of 90 signalized intersections in the City of Findlay. Two project reports were prepared for the City of Findlay. The first report detailed the traffic counting and signal warrant analyses. The second report focused on evaluation of the collected data in terms of signal removals, new signal locations, resident’s concerns, accident occurrence, implementation of “No Turn on Red”, compliance with OMUTCD Code, signal timing improvements and signal installation improvements. Intersection information was collected using existing signal plans, aerial photography, video, photos, traffic counting equipment, citizen letters and accident reports. DGL developed an intersection inventory sheet to collect field data directly related to traffic control at each intersection.
