DGL Consulting Engineers, LLC has expanded its operations to Dublin, Ohio. The new office is located at 545 Metro Place South | Suite 100 in Dublin. The new office, led by Mark Smith, PS, will provide planning, surveying, transportation, civil and structural engineering, as well as construction services. Mark resided in the Central Ohio area for 5 years prior to becoming a resident of the Marysville area for the past 20 years. Mark has been involved with different organizations throughout the area and has extensive surveying experience throughout Central Ohio.

The American Council of Engineering Companies of Ohio (ACEC Ohio) recently recognized 30 projects as part of their annual Engineering Excellence Awards Competition. The award program brings well-deserved public recognition to Ohio's engineering industry by spotlighting engineering projects that demonstrate a high degree of uniqueness, ingenuity and value! DGL Consulting Engineers received an Honor Award for the Access Improvements to the Port of Toledo project.

DGL’s Traffic Engineer, Alex Weiss, EI, was out collecting Speed Study Data for a recent project! Our traffic engineers utilize various methods to collect data for traffic studies. Here, Alex is collecting speed data utilizing a radar gun. DGL has conducted numerous speed studies over the years. The speed of each passing vehicle is recorded by radar for an hour in each direction, typically during peak hour traffic. Speed data is needed for a variety of traffic analyses including speed zone studies.

DGL’s Nicholas Lake, PE, SI graduated from the Fulton Leadership University last night! This off-site leadership program provided valuable content, strong interaction and meaningful conversations for all participants. Nick, along with his fellow graduates, encountered innovative ideas and tools, as well as an expanded network.

The village is the largest public overnight treehouse site in the country! This $1.5 million complex features four tree houses, sleeping two to six people, three tent or hammock platforms, a common tree house, a crow’s nest and a canopy walk.

Our construction inspectors are working throughout Northwest Ohio to ensure our clients’ projects are continuing as planned and in accordance with requirements, standards and regulations. We are proud to be working with the City of Port Clinton again on the OTT-Jefferson Street Reconstruction project. This much-anticipated major downtown road reconstruction project is underway, despite the flooding that occurred last month. The City experienced record high Lake Erie water levels, which caused flooding in the area. However, our lead inspector, Matt Myers, reports the project is progressing well and remains on schedule. Major project completion is scheduled for mid-September 2020.
