This ODOT LPA project included complete roadway reconstruction, a new traffic signal, water lines and storm sewer. Projects limits were approximately 0.42 miles of SR 111 starting from south of Sunday Street to the CSX viaduct just north of Cedar Street. There was drainage and pavement replacement under the CSX railroad viaduct where coordination with CSX was required. There was also waterline work that was added to the project and tracked separately, as it was under local City funding. As this is a heavy traffic urban corridor, maintenance of traffic (MOT) was crucial. Attention to safety details for pedestrians and drivers, with minimal disturbance to existing area businesses was necessary. Vehicular, pedestrian, side roads and driveway traffic / access was maintained at all times per the MOT plans and general notes. DGL completed the final closeout items for this project in 2017. Total construction cost is $2.31 million.
