This project included the construction of 100-feet of boardwalk onto a completely ADA accessible observation deck on the east side of the property and an observation tower to the west. These observation areas will allow park visitors to get an elevated view of the earthwork and mounding that was created and played a role in the Battle of Fallen Timbers and, later, the War of 1812. Shoreline improvements were also part of the Fort Miamis improvements. 290-feet of concrete retaining wall will be constructed with a canoe/kayak launch creating a much improved access point to the Maumee River.
