The explosive growth in the Perrysburg area, greatly impacted the traffic at the State Route 25 and Eckel Junction Road Intersection. The City implemented an intersection improvement plan/design and chose DGL to provide the construction administration services associated with the pavement widening for turn lanes, new curbs, asphalt resurfacing, new pavement markings and RPMS, upgraded signage and traffic signalization, sidewalk and drainage work, as well as restoration. In addition to providing standard CA services, DGL also coordinated/relayed the contractor’s work schedule with area business owners and kept the City updated each week of the contractor’s work schedule for the following week so they could forward to local news. The team also kept records of location and type of abandoned utilities as they were encountered during excavation. DGL coordinated work with the adjacent Costco site which was under construction during this project as well as work between City forces and contractor for miscellaneous utility repair and utility relocation with private utility companies. Total construction cost was $1.85 million.
