The City of Perrysburg hired DGL to complete the TMACOG Transportation Improvement Program (TIP), Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP) application for the Canterbury Development and Ft. Meigs Road. The project’s location was in the southwest quadrant of the Roachton Road/Fort Meigs Road intersection and consisted of constructing a one-half mile long 10-foot-wide multi-use path along the south side of Roachton Road, running west from Fort Meigs Road. The Roachton Road/Hull Prairie Road intersection, approximately one mile west of the proposed project location, experienced rapid expansion. A 5/6 grade school location opened in the fall of 2017 and holds approximately 800 students. Additionally, a development company for Canterbury Farms created plans for a development in the southeast quadrant of the intersection. Much work has been done to coordinate the construction of multi-use paths at the new 5/6 elementary school and Canterbury development locations. The proposed project connected the existing multi-use path at the Roachton Rd./Fort Meigs Rd. intersection to the Roachton Rd./Hull Prairie Road intersection. The path will extend the existing multi-use path system approximately 1.5 miles west.
