DGL was selected as a design partner with the Browning Masonic Homes and Ridgestone Builders to develop construction drawings for Phase II of their Waters Edge retirement community. This development consists of 20 duplex units to be leased to older clients that are still able to live on their own but are looking to reduce the lawn work and the physical labor involved with maintaining a home. The project resembled a typical subdivision in that streets, public utilities, and drainage had to be provided for each unit although the streets, some of the utilities, and property remained under the ownership of the Browning Masonic Community. This phase of the development is a steppingstone to the rest of the development where residents can move into assisted living and retirement living as their needs dictate.
