DGL received an Outstanding Achievement award for our Diverging Diamond Interchange on March 8th! We're so excited to have this OUTSTANDING project recognized by ACEC Ohio and the Engineering Excellence Awards! Congrats to our partners as well: ODOT District 2, the City of Perrysburg, The Edge Group and E.S. Wagner.DDI benefits: reducing queuing on the mainline, improving efficiency of traffic movements through the interchange and shortening signal phasing / cycle lengths. Studies have shown that a DDI reduces crashes between 19% and 46% due to the reduction of conflict points (26 conflict points in a conventional interchange compared to only 14 in a DDI)!
