DGL’s own Ahmed Hamid recently received an invitation to participate in a "Boss Lift". While at Rickenbacker Air National Guard Base in Columbus, Ahmed witnessed an in-air refueling mission performed by Ohio’s Air National Guard! This event is an important part of the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve’s (ESGR) mission to foster an environment where employers continue to value the military service of their employees. Passengers are carefully selected to ensure the greatest benefit to understanding the Department of Defense (DoD) mission. A successful boss lift helps develop strong personal relationships between employers of RC members and the DoD and provide employers/supervisors the opportunity to better understand what their RC employees do when they are away from their civilian occupation for military duty.
