DGL is seeking a full-time construction engineer to be part of DGL’s Construction Management and Inspection Department. This position will require a BSCE from ABET accredited institution with 3 to 5 years of construction engineering and inspection experience. Construction responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: serve as Resident Engineer and/or Project Inspector on construction projects; oversee daily inspection of work performed; schedule and administer progress project meetings; record daily activities, quantities, contractor’s equipment and on-site personnel. Review/approve shop drawing submittals, change orders and pay requests prior to submitting to owner; monitor overall project budget. Schedule and review material testing and ensure results are per project requirements and specifications. This position may also require office engineering and drafting support on design and contractor support assignments. ODOT construction prequalifications are highly preferred (Construction Engineer Level 2, Construction Engineer Level 1, Project Inspector, Structures Inspector, Traffic & Electrical Inspector and/or Soil & Aggregate Inspector).
