DGL Welcomes Four "New" Principals

It’s an exciting time at DGL Consulting Engineers, LLC. In order to assist with DGL’s growing network of offices throughout Ohio, the Senior Principals would like to officially announce the addition of four new principals to the firm: Amy, Nick, Corrinne, and Kyle.

 

Amy L. Zimmerman, PE joined DGL in 2010 and has 20 years of transportation design experience. She earned a BS in Civil Engineering from the University of Toledo in 2003 and is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Ohio. Amy is a Senior Project Manager and leads the Roadway Department with extensive experience in design and plan preparation of urban and rural roadways as well as innovative intersections and interchanges; with a focus on complex roadway design and management. In her spare time, Amy enjoys cheering on her two daughters as they play their many sports.

Nicholas B. Lake, PE, SI joined DGL in 2006 after earning a BS in Civil Engineering from Ohio Northern University. He has more than 17 years of engineering experience, Nick is a Project Manager focused on all integral components of structural bridge design, replacement, and inspection. In addition to being a registered Professional Engineer in Ohio and Indiana, Nick is also a registered Survey Intern in Ohio. Nick is also prequalified by ODOT as a Construction Engineer Level 1 & 2. Outside of work, Nick enjoys the business of keeping track of his seven children, ranging from preschoolers to quadruplet teenagers.

Corrinne M. Lochtefeld, PE, PTOE, PTP, RSP1 joined DGL after earning her BS in Civil Engineering from the University of Toledo in 2013. Corrinne is a Project Manager specializing in traffic and safety with an emphasis on access management; traffic control and signal designs. She is a registered Professional Engineer in Ohio and Indiana; as well as a Professional Traffic Operations Engineer, Professional Transportation Planner, and a level 1 Roadway Safety Professional. When not at work, Corrinne loves to travel and is always looking for a deal on travel websites.

Kyle W. Layton, PE joined DGL in 2013 after earning both a BS in Civil Engineering (2012) and an MS in Structural Engineering (2013) from the University of Toledo. Kyle manages structural projects within DGL’s Facility/Site Development Department designing structural steel, structural masonry, timber framing, general building foundations, retaining walls, as well as shoring and bracing. He is a registered Professional Engineer in Ohio, Maryland, and Indiana. In his time away from the office, Kyle enjoys getting out to the golf course as well as working with the local professional chapter of Engineers Without Borders.

Laurie L. Adams, PE, PTOE, PTP, RSP1, DGL’s Managing Principal & Director of Traffic & Safety stated, “I am happy to welcome these new owners to DGL. Their passion and dedication promise fresh perspectives from their varied experience. We look forward to a future of growth and innovation under their leadership.“
