Senior CAD Technician - Survey
Position Information
Provide land surveying knowledge and required procedures to assist in the planning, implementation, correction and quality review to complete assigned tasks. Able to prepare base and detailed drawings in accordance with project requirements with an overall knowledge of topographic, boundary and route surveys.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Prepares drawings, sketches, and calculations. Prepares and/or reviews field files as downloaded; process survey data, import data into MicroStation and AutoCAD. Prepare base and detailed drawings in accordance with project requirements.
Maintain requirements of ODOT, OTIC, local County and City CAD Standards, Standard Drawings and Location and Design Manuals.
Assist with maintaining company survey software compliance.
Assists in the research of land records, deeds, subdivision maps, easements, etc.
Keeps direct supervisor promptly informed of key/significant issues or concerns.
Complete other survey tasks as assigned and performs related duties as assigned.
Carries out duties and responsibilities in a safe and efficient manner to maintain safe work environment and surrounding area for oneself, co-workers and public and abide local, company and client safety requirements. Responds to hazardous situations and/or potentially unsafe conditions by taking corrective action as capable and promptly notifying supervisory personnel.
Update job knowledge continuously regarding planning, community design and sustainability issues, ideas and methods as well as engagement tools and strategies, and is knowledgeable in current trends, practices, technology, and information affecting the planning profession.
Technical support to engineering, communications, and business management teams
Communicate with leaders for thorough understanding of project scope.
Coordinate with other engineers and surveyors on project requirements.
Perform office and field work assignments within time constraints.
Work in a safe manner, abide local, company and client safety requirements.
Provide civil engineering drafting support (Bridge/Site/Roadway/Traffic) as necessary
Skill Set
Proficient in MicroStation, AutoCAD, Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Trimble Business Center
Proficient knowledge of land surveying practices, and equipment and its standard of care
Ability to perform work with a high degree of accuracy, organization and within established deadlines
Ability to conduct themselves in a professional manner
Ability to work independently and cooperatively on various sized projects
Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with employees, stakeholders and the general public
Ability to communicate effectively; speak and write clearly, concisely and persuasively using correct grammar, spelling and punctuation
Valid Driver’s License required with a favorable driving record
Education
Degree preferred, or equivalent training
