The countdown to OTEC 2022 is on, and the DGL Team is excited to sponsor, attend and present! Ohio's largest transportation engineering conference is a two-day event that is expected to attract over 4,000 attendees. This year's theme is "Moving Forward Together for a Brighter Tomorrow". Conference attendees include transportation officials, government officials, academics such as professors and researchers, students, planners, and consultants. We’re looking forward to the hearing the incredible speakers and the exchange of ideas in topics such as transportation design, technology advancements, planning, construction, government policy, and more.

DGL’s surveyors will be presenting as well! Attend our presentation on Wednesday during the Surveying & Mapping, Today and Tomorrow, Session 57. Mark Smith, PS and Jerry Curry, PS, survey managers from DGL’s Dublin office and NE region respectively, will be the final presentation in the session. Mark and Jerry will be discussing “Surveying in Today’s AEC World” and will offer a look at surveying throughout history and how technology has allowed for diversity in the field. Their presentation will also demonstrate why knowing what type of survey to use is as important as the use of technology in meeting a project’s goal. It will be an informative discussion that starts with the pyramids and ends with a year in the distant (or not so distant) future.
