Since the holiday was proclaimed by President Ronald Regan in 1984, we have celebrated National Surveyors Week each year beginning the 3rd Sunday of March. Reagan said, “In colonial days, surveyors were among the leaders in the community-statesmen, influential citizens, and shapers of cultural standards, including people such as George Washington and Thomas Jefferson.” With the new holiday proclaimed, he urged citizens to look back at the contributions surveyors have made to our society and to look ahead to the technology-driven future of the profession.

DGL Consulting Engineers, LLC has expanded its operations to Dublin, Ohio. The new office is located at 545 Metro Place South | Suite 100 in Dublin. The new office, led by Mark Smith, PS, will provide planning, surveying, transportation, civil and structural engineering, as well as construction services. Mark resided in the Central Ohio area for 5 years prior to becoming a resident of the Marysville area for the past 20 years. Mark has been involved with different organizations throughout the area and has extensive surveying experience throughout Central Ohio.

DGL Consulting Engineers received an Honor Award for the Access Improvements to the Port of Toledo project.
