This ODOT LPA project encompassed complete roadway reconstruction, a new traffic signal, water lines, and storm sewer. Projects limits were approximately 0.42 miles of SR 111 starting from south of Sunday Street to the CSX viaduct just north of Cedar Street. Drainage and pavement replacement were performed under the CSX railroad viaduct, requiring close coordination with CSX. There was also waterline work that was added to the project and tracked separately, as it was performed under local City funding. As this is a heavy traffic urban corridor, maintenance of traffic (MOT) was crucial. Attention to safety details for pedestrians and drivers, with minimal disturbance to existing area businesses, was necessary. Vehicular, pedestrian, side roads, and driveway traffic / access was maintained at all times in accordance with the MOT plans and general notes. DGL completed the final closeout items for this project in 2017. Total construction cost was $2,310,000.
