DGL, in partnership with an architectural firm, developed the site design for Bowling Green State University’s new student health center at the campus “gateway” in collaboration with the Wood County Hospital and BGSU. This two-story, 23,000-square-foot building included 16 student exam rooms, pharmacy (with vehicular drop-off), radiology, hematology, IV therapy services, minor procedure rooms, physicians’ offices, conference facilities, administrative areas, storage space, and onsite parking. DGL’s tasks included traffic study, site survey, and underground utilities (water, sanitary, IT, electrical, storm). Underground storm water detention and BMPs were completed in accordance with Ohio EPA and City of Bowling Green criteria. DGL successfully worked within a highly compressed schedule while coordinating around existing utility infrastructure to prevent additional major costs for the client.
