This project consisted of improvements to North Sandusky Street (SR 53) in the City of Tiffin, from Hudson Street northerly to the northerly corporation limits, a distance of about 1.3 miles. The work included milling and resurfacing approximately 27,500 square yards of pavement. This project was a local-let ODOT project administered by the City of Tiffin. DGL organized a public meeting for adjacent property owners to educate them on proposed work, schedule, and possible inconveniences. Concerns of maintaining access to local businesses were addressed within the maintenance of traffic plans. The project scope was defined by DGL to maximize the use of available funds. Construction bids were within 3% of the engineer’s estimate.
