DGL provided Resident Engineer services where the team was responsible for overseeing daily inspection of work performed, scheduling and administrating progress project meetings, recording daily activities, quantities, contractor’s equipment, and onsite personnel. Reviewed / approved shop drawing submittals; reviewed / approved change orders; reviewed / approved pay requests prior to submitting to City; and monitored overall project budget. We scheduled and reviewed materials testing and ensured results were in accordance with project requirements and specifications. The team coordinated / relayed contractor’s work schedule with area business owners, updated the City weekly with regard to the contractor’s work schedule in an effort to forward to local news. We also kept records of location and type of abandoned utilities as they were encountered during excavation. DGL additionally coordinated work between City forces and contractor for miscellaneous utility repair as well as utility relocation with private companies. Total construction cost was $871,000.
