This project involved the widening and resurfacing of SR 199 to add a left-turn lane for northbound traffic and a new traffic signal at the intersection. Project limits were approximately 0.21 miles beginning at the bridge crossing Interstate 75 and ending at Dr. McAuley’s Court. Existing side slopes were benched to accommodate the roadway widening. New storm sewers, sidewalks, signage, and pavement markings were also included. Traffic was maintained in one lane with the use of a work zone traffic signal. Access to three residential properties was maintained during construction. The project is was completed in Spring 2018. Total construction cost was approximately $543,000.
