Welded Construction, L.P. - 2018 Pipeline

Welded Construction, L.P. (WCLP) required the engineering evaluation and necessary recommendations/equipment certifications for steep slope pipeline operations in West Virginia. WCLP provided DGL with a detailed outline of the intended procedures, soil parameters, equipment, rigging configuration, and loading information used on their steep slope operations. DGL’s responsibilities for this task included reviewing, evaluating, and providing recommendations for equipment stability when operating on hills and steep slopes. The process also determined when winching of mobile equipment is necessary.

DGL additionally evaluated the structural adequacy of the rigging configuration and components for their intended use. This included field inspection and rating of the custom tow plates welded to structural frame of the construction vehicles.
