DGL provided updated traffic signal plans for the City of Perrysburg, including improvements at the intersections of Louisiana Avenue and South Boundary Street, and Indiana Avenue and Locust Street. The project modernized existing traffic signal infrastructure while ensuring compliance with current ODOT standards, City preferences, and ADA requirements.
DGL began by reviewing the City-provided CAD files, existing signal plans, and controller data to confirm existing conditions and identify required updates. A complete set of construction-ready plans was developed, including a title sheet, notes, general summary, intersection subsummaries, signal plans, and detailed sheets for each intersection.
The title and notes sheets were updated to reflect current standard drawings, specifications, quantities, ODOT specification changes, and City-specific preferences, including pedestrian pushbutton requirements. A general summary and individual intersection subsummaries were completed to clearly document quantities and proposed improvements.
For each intersection, DGL prepared detailed signal plans that included updated base mapping with stationing and right-of-way information, review and adjustment of signal pole, mast arm, and signal head placement, and verification of pedestrian facilities for ADA compliance. Vehicle and pedestrian detection zones, signal indications, labeling, construction sequencing, and all required notes were incorporated into the plans.
Supporting detail sheets were developed for each intersection, including updated traffic signal detector tables, timing charts, signal display tables, signal support details, and wiring diagrams. Existing equipment to be reused was clearly identified to support efficient construction and cost control.
Upon completion, the plans provided the City of Perrysburg with a coordinated, accurate, and constructible set of traffic signal documents suitable for bidding and construction.
