DGL provided civil engineering services for this campus infrastructure improvements and additions project, serving as a subconsultant to Bostwick Design. The overall project included the following components:


  • Roadway improvements for two major campus streets (Willard and Ridge Streets), utility improvements along Willard and Ridge including water, sanitary, lighting, drainage, campus data conduits, and utility tunnel reconstruction.

  • Traffic pattern analysis and improvements encompassed new parking lots and street reconfigurations to accomodate future campus developments. The work also included coordination with adjacent projects, including the $28,000,000 Wolf Center construction

  • Site design services for a new $3,800,000 chiller plant facility along the corridor.


DGL’s responsibilities included surveying; three-dimensional base mapping of field and reseach data; pavement design for roadways and parking lots; traffic control design and layout; drainage design for sheet flow, closed sewer, and detention systems; structural design for tunnel repairs; and preparation of waterline relocation plans. DGL also assisted with administrative duties during construction. MDA Engineering was contracted with DGL for design of street lighting and emergency poles.
