DGL provided civil engineering services for this campus infrastructure improvements and additions project, serving as a subconsultant to Bostwick Design. The overall project included the following components:
Roadway improvements for two major campus streets (Willard and Ridge Streets), utility improvements along Willard and Ridge including water, sanitary, lighting, drainage, campus data conduits, and utility tunnel reconstruction.
Traffic pattern analysis and improvements encompassed new parking lots and street reconfigurations to accomodate future campus developments. The work also included coordination with adjacent projects, including the $28,000,000 Wolf Center construction
Site design services for a new $3,800,000 chiller plant facility along the corridor.
DGL’s responsibilities included surveying; three-dimensional base mapping of field and reseach data; pavement design for roadways and parking lots; traffic control design and layout; drainage design for sheet flow, closed sewer, and detention systems; structural design for tunnel repairs; and preparation of waterline relocation plans. DGL also assisted with administrative duties during construction. MDA Engineering was contracted with DGL for design of street lighting and emergency poles.
