Erie Shores Council enlisted DGL to renovate the existing Council Fire Ring at Camp Miakonda, located within the DeVilbiss Scout Reservation, the fifth-oldest Boy Scout camp in the United States.
The scope of work for the Fire Ring project included surveying to provide existing site information for design, geotechnical investigation, site development planning, and structural design to support construction drawings for seating, walkways, a backstage retaining structure, a stage structure spanning a small waterway, and the fire ring itself.
DGL led the renovation of the existing camp council fire ring, which was transformed into a 400-person amphitheater and stage that spanned a small creek.
