In 2023, a section of Hudson Drive, from Front Street to Graham Road in the City of Cuyahoga Falls, was identified as requiring resurfacing. The corridor is approximately 6,500 feet in length and includes a total of 19 intersections. The City planned to include additional countermeasures along the corridor to increase both pedestrian and vehicular safety through the implementation of ADA ramps at crossings.
As a subconsultant to GAI Consultants, DGL’s survey crews completed a topographic/existing conditions survey, and provided both utility mapping and terrestrial scanning services. Due to heavy traffic along the Hudson Drive Corridor, our team made use of cutting-edge survey equipment to create detailed drawings of the existing conditions. Using a 3D laser scanner, our team accurately mapped the corridor while avoiding interference from vehicles and pedestrians, and remained safely outside the large and dangerous intersections.
The safety of our crews, as well as that of passing motorists and pedestrians, is a top priority whenever we are working on or near roadways.
