As a subconsultant to Burgess & Niple, DGL provided Design-Build survey services on a project led by The Nature Conservancy (TNC). TNC’s aim was to restore wetlands, return ecological integrity, and protect bio-diversity on 14 acres of land inside the Cuyahoga Valley National Park (CVNP) in Summit County, Ohio. The CVNP is one of the most-visited national parks in the country.
The project site was difficult to access and was especially difficult to traverse when gathering cross section data of the Cuyahoga River. Precise staging areas were established to limit the frequency of crossings. A two-person survey crew was used to ensure safety and the accuracy of information gathered.
DGL’s involvement in this project provided accurate survey data to support the wetland restoration efforts, delivering all project deliverables on time and under budget.
