Cuyahoga River Towpath Wall Survey

The extension of the Cuyahoga Towpath Trail system follows the historic route of the Ohio & Erie Canal. The trail encourages birding, walking, biking, running, horseback riding and more while taking in the natural beauty of Northeast Ohio. DGL partnered with the contractor and Turner Concrete Products on the design of an 80-foot-long Redi-Rock retaining wall system for the construction of a trail lookout point. The gravity wall design offered a simple, cost-effective solution that utilized the available footprint to support the scenic viewing area while preserving the functionality of the multi-use path below.
