Defiance East Side Neighborhood Infrastructure Improvements

DGL performed survey and design services in connection with the Eastside Infrastructure Improvements project for the City of Defiance. This project consisted of roadway reconstruction, waterline replacement, enclosed drainage system/storm sewer improvements, roadway resurfacing, sidewalk extensions, and ADA intersection improvements. A RRFB pedestrian crossing was installed across Ottawa Avenue to connect the Eastside neighborhood to the Eastside Park. A multi-use path was added along the south side of Haig Street, and the Eastside Park parking lot was fully reconstructed to provide the appropriate number of parking spaces along with a designated dumpster pad. Improvements on Myrna Street consisted of roadway reconstruction and replacement of the existing waterline. Road resurfacing was completed on Logan, Thurman, Blaine, and Haig Streets, along with drainage improvements in the rear-yard alleys between Ottawa Avenue and Ayersville Avenue, both north and south of Logan.
