DGL helped transform the existing South Hall (now known as Kuhlin Hall) at Bowling Green State University into the new home for the School of Media and Communication. The building required a full interior renovation, along with two additions – a 1,700-square-foot expansion and a three-story, 7,200-square-foot addition. DGL collaborated with a Cincinnati-based architect on the walks and utilities layout adjacent to the building and expansions. DGL worked closely with stakeholders to determine the best locations for walk realignment to maintain primarily pedestrian circulation to South Hall and adjacent buildings. Additionally, handicap access was maintained to the building entrances and on all pedestrian areas. DGL also worked with BGSU and the engineers to upgrade and extend the water within the tunnel system to supply South Hall with water without the expense of tapping the City’s water system on the opposite side of Wooster Street.
