NW Ohio Wind Energy / Timber Road Wind Farm Survey

A local construction company contacted DGL to perform construction layout in a 50-square mile area for the Northwest Ohio Wind Energy and Timber Road Wind Farm projects. DGL’s responsibilities involved layout of construction easements, windmill foundations, private roadway accesses, as well as public roadway temporary intersection improvements.

One critical aspect, included ensuring the radii for the intersection improvements were accurate. This was necessary to guarantee the extended length of the delivery vehicles could execute turns at the intersections, while transporting the blades.
