This project consisted of the construction of a modern roundabout at the intersection of South Berkey Southern Road and Neapolis-Waterville Road (LUC-295-6.65). Lucas County was the LPA and ODOT shared involvement due to SR 295.
DGL was contracted to provide design services for the construction of a center landscape island, truck apron, pavement splitter islands, paved shoulders, pavement widening, resurfacing, sidewalk, and other related pavement and roadway work. Drainage work included roadside swales and storm sewers. BMPs utilized vegetated filter strips and vegetated biofilters. Geometric configuration was designed to avoid the residential geothermal heating and cooling system of the homeowner in the northwest quadrant.
Final right-of-way plans were prepared by DGL. Construction was complete in the fall of 2022.
