In 2018, the Cleveland Metroparks stabilized a critical roadway slip along Gorge Parkway (Walton Hills, OH) by installing a specialized Plug line and King line retaining wall. In 2022, the Metroparks identified adjacent erosion impacting the roadway and encroaching upon Tinker’s Creek. This required a follow-up project to install a similar retaining wall system next to the original 2018 stabilization effort. As a subconsultant to Suburban Maintenance & Construction Inc., DGL’s local survey team worked with the contractor and civil design staff to provide horizontal and vertical control as well as staking services for the additional retaining wall. DGL’s professional surveyors were able to assist in the successful construction of a 100-foot protective retaining wall for the Cleveland Metroparks.
