This pavement rehabilitation project extended from the intersection of John Q. Carey Drive to the railroad tracks, just beyond the guard shack at the northern end of George Hardy Drive. The project scope consisted of removing existing pavement and replacing with a new pavement build-up on an improved subgrade. New pipe underdrains were designed and installed while maintaining the existing curbs. Existing catch basins were inspected and repaired as necessary. A waterline replacement was included as a project alternate. A new rail crossing was also designed and installed under part-width construction. The project was designed to maintain heavy truck traffic during construction.
