Ahmed joined DGL in 1999 and became a partner in 2012. Over his tenure, he has grown into a key leader within the firm, helping shape its technical direction and service delivery. With nearly three decades of experience, he has held critical roles including Senior Project Manager, Construction Manager, and Lead Resident Engineer, bringing a well-rounded perspective to both design and field operations. Ahmed’s technical expertise spans bridge design, structural load rating and inspection, industrial building design, foundation systems, retaining walls, complex infrastructure, and hydrologic and hydraulic analysis for bridge structures. His work reflects a strong balance of engineering precision and practical constructability. He serves as the lead and contact principal for all Ohio Turnpike and Infrastructure Commission (OTIC) projects across its 241-mile system and supports key clients including ODOT, counties, and municipalities. As Director of Technical Services, Ahmed provides firmwide leadership and oversight, ensuring technical excellence, consistency, quality, and strong client relationships.
