Laurie joined DGL in 1986, was elected to Principal in 1999, and became DGL’s Managing Principal in 2017. As Managing Principal, she oversees necessary staff/project allocation, corporate function supervision and Quality Control procedures and compliance. In addition, she also oversees DGL’s traffic and safety group which includes studies, signals, signing, pavement marking, and lighting design. Laurie has placed an emphasis on developing and communicating a strong plan for the firm.  Leading the firm with a positive, productive approach has notably increased partnerships both internally, with her co-owners and the employees, as well as DGL’s external clients and teaming partners.  A recognized leader in traffic and safety across Ohio, Laurie oversees DGL’s participation in statewide Safety Design and Safety Studies contracts and has worked extensively with communities to secure grant funding. She promotes practices that have improved organizational operations, teaming relationships and delivery of services. Under Laurie’s leadership, DGL has embraced changes within the industry while continuing to value the legacy of which the firm was built upon.
