Laurie joined DGL in 1986, was elected Principal in 1999, and served as Managing Principal from 2017-2026. In July 2026, Laurie stepped down as Managing Principal and took on a role as Senior Advisor, where she will mentor firm managers, and assist with marketing and business development functions. Laurie has always placed an emphasis on developing and communicating a strong plan, vision, and outlook for the firm. Under Laurie’s leadership, DGL has embraced changes within the industry while continuing to value the legacy of which the firm was built upon. She promotes practices that have improved organizational operations, teaming relationships, and delivery of services. A recognized leader in traffic and safety across Ohio, she has directed DGL’s participation in statewide Safety Design and Safety Studies contracts, signals, signing, pavement marking, lighting design, and has worked extensively with communities to secure grant funding.
