With 34 years of previous experience, Jim joined DGL in Spring 2025 to help lead our Construction Management Department. Prior to joining DGL, he was Ottawa County’s Bridge Engineer and was solely responsible for the maintenance and improvement of bridges in Ottawa County. During his tenure at the County, he was also involved with the administration and inspection oversight of numerous projects for the improvement of bridges, county & township roads, and county drainage concerns. Jim’s involvement in construction projects included local administration of federally funded projects. As such, he is very knowledgeable regarding Federal and ODOT requirements for engineering project development, construction project bidding procedures, contracting, and inspection requirements.
